“You’re my son and you’re going to be proud of it, boy,” the red-haired kunoichi pronounced over the cradle, glaring at any Elders or the out of retirement Sandaime who dared meet her eyes. “This is no demon fox, this is my son and he’s gonna be a ninja like me and his father.”
“Uzumaki-san, you should be--” began a medic-nin tentatively.
“Like hell I should be resting. Leave you alone for five minutes and you’ve got all kinda ideas in your heads about my baby. Don’t you be saying he’s the fox in human form. The hell did you get that? I gave birth to him before any of the sealing and he’s the spitting image of my man, or have you already forgotten what he looked like? And this ‘It shall never be spoken of again’? Fuck no, he’s going to have questions and I’m going to answer them.”
“So, Uzumaki-san, what are you going to call th--your son?”
“I thought Minato already told Kakashi-kun before he died.”
“Yes, but we didn’t think--”
“Stop thinking shit. My son’s name is Uzumaki Naruto and I’m taking him home with me now.”
