I have no memory of why writing this occurred to me, but it completely consumed me once it did. I rewatched episode 3, pausing every two seconds, taking copious notes. I read about the most recent developments in the Naruto plot yesterday. I know at great detail about these things, despite neither watching nor reading nor liking it (I only care, at all, for, some parts of, the fandom). Go figure. I had no reaction, whatsoever. My brain just hadn't processed. Then I shot up in bed at 3 a.m. and wrote this. Then I nearly slept through class. The characters are pretty OOC, but that was because I had forgotten their personalities and didn't care, so I made ones up (they had lines to say and they said them, that was their sole purpose).

My first Naruto fic ever. I don't even like the series in and of itself (thought admittedly I've only seen the first 14 episodes of the anime firsthand, I know my shonen and I know all about this one and I'm really not that impressed), the fandom is huge, so of course you get some nice things in it if you look around enough and I found out a lot of my favorite FFVII writers also write Naruto. Yay!
I wrote this as a Valentine's thank you/gift fic for a friend of mine who loves Naruto. Then I found out she doesn't read fanfic. Darn it. So I made her origami. But I'm finally posting this here.
