“It’s icy and the stairs are steep. I prefer to walk next to them up the hill itself because the snow’s deeper and has more friction.”

“It’s not alright. You’ll fall and break your neck or that smart head of yours open.”
“No, it’s okay.” Ami picked up a foot pointedly and the ice moved strangely where she put it down, like soft foam.
“Oh, I forgot.” Rei realized this wasn’t Usagi. “Sorry for insulting your competence.”
“It’s alright.”
“Usagi and Kino are right inside. I’ll be in in a minute.”
“Be careful.”
