Anita knew his type well enough, the genteel façade over the cruel smirk and the gleam in his reptilian golden eyes. She knew without looking that Mahoja was stiffening at her side. That could have just been at the appearance of a foreigner, Indian, African maybe, but she knew better.
“Sir…”
“Sir Tyki Mikk. Such an honor to be greeted by the mistress of the house herself.”
Perhaps if she’d had a girl so out of favor at the moment that she wouldn’t her coming back blood and bruised at best, if at all.
“Only the best for our gentleman customer. If you’d follow me perhaps we might find someway to help you relax.” Anita had no need to let her robe slip off her shoulder as she turned; she was no common street hooker needing to advertise.
“That would be kind of you, madam.”
