Being a kid, Chibiusa instantly found the little wooden swing tucked behind one of the buildings of the Hikawa Shrine.
“Get down from there!”
“What’s wrong, Rei?” Makoto asked from where she had been looking on unconcernedly.
It was the one thing her father had tried to build with his own hands, in some theoretical happy time that she could hardly remember. He had been around and her mother had still been alive. It had the lopsided look of something made by something with only the slightest ideas of how wood or rope worked.
“It’s not safe. It’s badly built.”
