“I am a hungry ghost. I just happen to be appearing to you in a dream.”
“Oh of course. Now it makes perfect sense.”
“Don’t behave in a way unbecoming to a princess.”
“I’m a schoolgirl, not a princess. Should I kill you again like I would another lemure?”
“If you see me under the control of Queen Nehellenia, please do. I have experience at it so am good at resisting.”
Rei snorted, but looked away a little embarrassedly at the circumstances of his death. “May I stop dreaming you so that I might get a wink of sleep tonight?”
“I need you to tell your princess some things I have discovered about the condition of my prince,” Nephrite insisted slowly.
“I have one question first.”
“What?”
“Why did you ride in here on a pink unicorn?”
“It’s a pegasus, not a unicorn, it’s white under the pink ribbons tied to it, and I haven’t a clue. It’s your dream, not mine, after all.”
