Having a crush on your best friend was bad. Having a crush on your best friend and his best friend, your superior officer and his girlfriend was infinitely worse.
Well, some parts of it were good. For instance, if you had a blush on your face all the time, no one could connect it to any one person. It had taken a while to get used to the continued rush of blood to his head, but it would serve him well someday, when he was doing handstands, or something, somehow…
The blush was definitely back, big time, when he heard the three voices coming from behind the door of Zack’s apartment.
“Tseng’s been poking around again.”
“Do you want us to warn him off or invite him in,” came Sephiroth’s deep, rich voice.
“Ahh, I’d been hoping for Reno.”
“Zaaack! One of you is enough. Are you serious?” Aeris asked, a bit more gravely.
“No. Well, if were, then yeah. Actually, I want to invite Cloud.”
“Cloud?”
“Cadet Strife?”
Cloud’s heart skipped a beat that Sephiroth knew his name, though he had no idea what they were talking about.
“I think he’d want to, if he weren’t too shy. He likes us, after all.”
“Well, I’m all for it. Zack’s already mother-henning over him and I want to too.”
“Seph?”
“I accept.”
“Great. How about I bring him here to tell him later tonight?”
“No need,” Sephiroth drawled dryly. “He’s standing right outside.”
Blushing was replaced by being unable to breathe as the door opened to reveal three people who had just voted to induct him into something.
“Come on, Cloud, buddy.”
Why was Zack shirtless? And why was Sephiroth more shirtless than usual? And was Aeris shirtless over there?
“We were just going to ask you to join our circle of loo~ove.”
It turned out having his crush and his other crush and his other crush ask him to join a threesome he didn’t know they were having as enough to push Cloud past blushes and into a dead faint.
