I was sittin’ in a shadowy corner of a bar, waiting for my contact, when the bartender came over to me with a drink.
“I didn’t order this.”
“Compliments of that lady,” he growled back and that was when I saw her.
She was as out of place in a dingy bar as a diamond ring in a pawnshop. Long blonde hair and a tight orange dress that left nothing to the imagination.
Just then, a greasy little man, my rat, sat down beside me, blocking my view of her, but I knew I wasn’t seeing the last of her.
