Sort of a continuation of day before yesterday (the prompt gods were kind enough), but perfectly stand-alone.

Isshin referred to Ryuuken as “your new mother,” but he was probably more confused about them than they were about him.
Ichigo ignored Ryuuken was much as he did Isshin (when Isshin wasn’t flying toward him for a drop-kick of love). He was practically living with Ishida Uryuu anyway, in between days of school and nights of Shinigami duties.
Yuzu continued to be the mother of the family. Karin continued to practice for when she was a real teenager.
Ryuuken slipped out of Isshin’s embrace of love every morning and left for the hospital. It took him almost a block to notice the patter of little feet behind him. “Karin-san?”
“Yuzu said you forgot your lunch.” Karin held out one of the cute little lunchboxes Yuzu made for everyone.
“Thank you.”
“You… you’ve been really good for goat-chin, you know?” Karin blushed bright red and ran back to the house.
Ryuuken hoped he wouldn’t miss up hi… Isshin’s daughters the way he had his son.
