And here goes a bit of typing. Stupid, stupid sleep and your lack thereof.

Title: Gene Pool
Author: [livejournal.com profile] purplekitte
Theme: if only death was permanent
Genre: dark
Version: Manga
Rating: PG

Sailor Moon cursed as the newest Sailor Jupiter was thrown off a skyscraper and didn’t reemerge. That meant at least months of broken legs if not another casualty. It was so hard to find girls with enough magic to activate a senshi wand in Tokyo.

And getting harder each one she lost. She had lost her first Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Jupiter during her last battle with the Dark Kingdom years before. She’d lost her second Mercury and Jupiter while fighting the Black Moon clan, plus Pluto who she’d never really known. She lost two more Mercuries, a Venus, a Saturn, and three Marses over the next two years. Fighting Sailor Galaxia she had finally lost her long-time Uranus and Neptune at last, as well as… No, he hadn’t been a senshi, no reason to think about him.

Fighting off the remnants of the Senshi Wars from across the galaxy she seemed to go through a rookie senshi every month and was drastically cutting the magical potential in the gene pool. Already she had no one to replace her Outers; the last girl Uranus, she couldn’t recall her name, had died of magical shock the first time she tried to draw her sword.

“Form up,” Sailor Moon ordered her Venus and Mars. Sailor Venus had tears running down her face. New girl. She’d learn. Or she wouldn’t last long.

I agree with Starsea, Usagi would become very cynical.

This was dark and just plain awesome. *wonders why purplekitte doesn't write more!* *wonders how she is able to convey such awesomeness in a few paragraphs*

(I'm reading thru the July '08 entries if you're wondering why I'm suddenly replying, btw :)

(I figured.)

Eeck, I know, I should write longer things. I really mean to but no matter how long it looks in my head/on paper it rarely makes the second page once I type it up, or it never gets nearly finished.

I'm glad you like the drabbles, though.
