“I couldn’t do that.” Diamond initiated a long, lingering kiss of his own. “But I have a meeting with Emerald and Wise Man right now.”

“I don’t like how close you two are getting.”

Diamond chose to believe he was talking about Emerald. “Don’t be jealous. What about you and the oldest of the Ayakashi sisters?”

“Petz is great but she’s not…” The fabled Sun and Moon you once spoke about to my Earth. “You.”

Diamond looked at the time again, though. “I’ve got to go.”
