Kyoto was temples, temples, and more temples and Hino Takashi was a priest’s son, if a prodigal one, and even he thought that.
His black suit jacket and tie any respectable man wore everywhere were killing him. Takashi admitted he’d still be sweating like a pig if he were naked, if being thirty-five degrees and a hundred percent humidity all the time. He could have had a nice, relaxing trip of not leaving his hotel room and considered it a vacation well spent.
But no. He was fresh out of college and needed all the press coverage he could for his campaign. So it was a parade of more and more temples that blended together in his mind.
Takashi started to rehearse a speech in his head, eyes barely passing over the scenes in front of him… His head snapped up with a started and he did a double-take. Who was that beautiful woman sweeping the front steps of that church?
