“To become what I truly am,” Green Emerald said playfully but haughtily.
“What’s that?”
“The Queen of the Crystal Millennium.”
Calaveras didn’t laugh. Ambition was the lifeblood of Nemesis’s black heart. “You want to be queen?”
“It’s what I already am. My destiny.” With a bloodthirsty grin she added, “I just can’t wait for the rest of the solar system to figure it out.”
