the perfect floaty thing
Jan. 20th, 2009 11:46 pmI was chatting with someone about the reincarnated destined love thing with someone when I wrote this. And playing some random AU scenarios inspired by stitch in time with Kyoko and coming to the conclusion she never finds her soulmate in any universe and I have no idea who he'd be/what he'd be like. Other than that it's not Jadeite, and I like that pairing enough to say that would be too bad if they'd not ended up together, even in a non-post-apocalypse really dark AU version.
Title: “True Love”
Characters: Kyoko, Mizuho, Mahana, miscellaneous gangsters
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 236
Disclaimer: Sailor Moon is not mine
The gang member girls gossiped while their leaders half-napped in an uncomfortable-looking pile on the couch. They went through the loot they’d stolen from 7-11 and discussed true love.
“Come on, destined true love and soulmates across time and reincarnation.”
“Have you been readin’ too much shoujo manga?” Tanaka said back sarcastically.
“Have not. Don’t be hatin’.”
“It’s s’possed to be perfect. What everyone wants, right?”
“Starry eyed.” Mitsuka thumped Nogu-chan on the back. “You’ve got how many ex-boyfriends runnin’ ‘round.”
“Not like we’d be able to tell it if we found it versus some idiot thinkin’ she’s in love for a whole week.”
“Shut up, bitch.”
“Hey, Kyoko-anego, what d’ you think?”
“Why’re you askin’ her?” Mahana asked sleepily.
Kyoko poked her with an elbow turning over, which she took to mean “everyone think you are Mizuho are together” and “they don’t know me and my future like you do”.
“True love?”
“Eh, I don’t give much of a fuck. Don’t get all bent out of shape ‘bout shit like soulmates if you’re happy with what you’ve got. Love’s love with or without this ‘true’ shit, so don’t be fuckin’ stupid.” Kyoko added, “Throw me some soy crackers and talking ‘mong yourselves, children.”
“Fuck off,” said Zomi as the requested item almost hit Kyoko in the head.
Elsewhere:
A bus careened around a corner dangerously, and hit Kyoko’s soulmate. She never knew, noticed, or cared.
