“Right.” Ami would probably understand how time travel and the thirty-first century worked.

“The police are letting her stay with us until they find her parents.”

Usagi scowled. “I guess we have to keep the brat.”

“Don’t talk that way. Now I want to know why that little girl decided you and Chiba-kun were her parents. What did she see you doing?”

“Mama!”

“Were you kissing? You’re too young to be kissing.”

“Mama!”

“Now get down there before she starts wailing for you again.”

“She was screaming that her idol had been knocked off its pedestal.”

“What did you get on your last English test again?”

“I’m going!”
