I haven't read The Chocolate War in years and cheered for the villain much more than the hero at the time, but I couldn't resist the reference.

Rating: PG

She opened her locker along with everyone else, but no one else’s opening the door knocked off the shelf a bucket of lukewarm water and maybe half a bottle of bad perfume someone hadn’t liked.

There were snickers. A couple of the boys who normally would be following her around were torn between rushing to reassure her and laughing.

Minako ignored them: the girls’ satisfied grins or looks of pity, the boys’ amusement or worry, the teachers rushing over. She didn’t even brush the dripping hair off her face or wring it out, didn’t wipe the running mascara from her eyes. She wasn’t crying; she just wasn’t dignifying it with a response.

She checked her broach was still attached to her uniform and that her cell phone was dry. Nothing else seemed to interest her. It was only water.

She shut her locker on the empty bucket. The poster on the inside door reading ‘Do I dare disturb the universe?’ was dry.

I think you meant 'Do I dare disturb the universe?'. And I love that Minako doesn't react at all, just carries on as if there's nothing wrong. That's very much her PGSM character.
