One night. Some names had a certain amount of irony attached. Yoruichi’s was one such.
Yoru—Night. Ichi—One. And then she was gone.
Soi Fong—Break Hornet.
For one night she lay completely broken at the loss of the Shunshin. The next morning, rising, she was the leader of the Special Ops and captain of the Second.
Misleading in her delicate features and the butterfly mark she left behind, she was the hornet. Wielding Suzumebachi—Sting all enemies to death.
The hornet is a fearsome insect, but is brittle, and can so easily be crushed by a careless touch.
