Nanao watched Gin smile and drag a blushing Kira off to who knows where.
She watched Hitsugaya extract himself from Matsumoto’s bosom and run off to eat watermelons with Hinamori.
Matsumoto laughed, spraying sake, at Kyouraku flirting, before Ukitake started to cough and Kyouraku immediately swept him off in his arms.
And when everyone else was gone, Nanao crawled into Matsumoto’s lap and sighed and fell asleep, head pillowed on Matsumoto’s chest.
Matsumoto stroked her hair and murmured softly to her and knew they’d be hung-over in the morning but didn’t care because she was here, alone, with her Nanao-chan.
