“This one is a daughter of the house,” she said over the baby. “She will be the next Chosen One, after my granddaughter. And what a Chosen One she will be, like none who have come before. She will see the end of all things and the second birth and the great ice and the ascension.”
“A… great destiny, but not necessarily one I would have wished for my daughter. What is she to be called?”
“Setsuna,” the old woman pronounced.
“That is a strange name,” the king said in confusion, forgetting himself for a moment. “I have never heard its like.”
“It is a name of the future, of where she shall be, of how she will be know.”
