The wide-eyed blonde three-and-a-half-year-old was named Cassiopeia Black. Yes, Black. As in Sirius Black, the recently arrested but already infamous murderer and traitor, and his easily forgotten, late, Auror wife.

The Ministry of Magic thought it best for the rather outspoken, bratty three-year-old that she be sent somewhere safely far, far away. Japan sounded far enough. Somehow the “blonde” part had been passed over unnoticed.

Cassiopeia Black learned and forgot with the ease of a small child and soon had stopped denying the name Tenou Haruka and had stopped using English in favor of Japanese.

When Haruka ran, she felt she was flying. And she liked flying.
