Ami and Mamoru interaction is so fun. She's pretty much the only girl who doesn't hit on him in the anime, but they would have so much chemistry together (and study chemistry and such).

“Don’t worry, Dr. Mizuno. I should have turned on the light.”

“Were you resting? I didn’t mean to disturb you.”

“No, it’s fine. I hadn’t gotten to say congratulations on finishing your residency. You got through medical school so fast.”

“The hardest part was not being able to give a good answer about why I was in such a hurry.”

“Somehow I doubt this is what we’ll be remembered for.”

“Or that we’ll ever use these skills again. Is Usagi…?”

“Yes.”

“We always knew time was short. That’s why I hurried even though I know I’ll never use the skills again. But I’m glad for them.”

“Me too.”

I like dialog stories a lot, and this one did a lot for just being two characters speaking. You can still picture their actions and facial expressions as they talk. Not sure if this fits the theme but it's a good short story!

Thank you. (In the picture in my head there's a very prominent lightbulb hanging from the ceiling, but I never put the imagery in the actual story, I later realized, because it was all dialogue.)
