“That would be pleasant. I accept.” She took his arm.
Kunzite watched her as she walked, her long golden air only more pronounced, not sickening-looking, in the green and blue Earthlight.
“You may as well ask already.”
Taken slightly aback, he checked, “You already know what I was going to ask?”
“You were going to proposition to me.”
Glancing around quickly to make sure no one was around, he hissed, “I understand why, as a Senshi, you cannot marry openly, but a secret marriage…”
“I don’t care about your scruples about ‘living in sin’. If only with marriage, you won’t have me anymore.”
“If only without marriage, you won’t have me anymore.”
“So be it.” He could see a ghost image of her golden hair long after she was gone.
